Extensive restoration has long been going on this building. A tour around it will introduce the visitor to the fascinating subject of 17th century bastioned fortifications. It will also trace the long and varied history of the gate; displaying excellent examples of period bomb-proof construction, wall graffiti covering some 300 years and other important architectural features.

Attractions

Excellent vantage point from where the entire Cottonera and harbour region can be viewed including the Grand Harbour. It also comprises many underground chambers and galleries along with very imposing baroque architecture. The site is also available for coffee mornings and corporate functions.
