Reconstruction of the eleven-gun battery at the former Saluting Battery at the lower tier of the Upper Barracca Gardens in Valletta.

This will include the remounting of eleven 24-pdr smoothbore cannon from the early British period on iron garrison-carriages. The guns will be provided with all necessary side arms for use. All guns will be in condition to fire salutes during national and public days. One gun will also be fired at noon on a weekly basis to mark the passage of mid-day. This project also entails the restoration of the gunpowder and side-arms stores under the arch-supported bellevedere. The first room will be reconstructed to original specifications whilst the second will be turned into a permanent museum dedicated to the history of the battery. Both will be made accessible to the general public for viewing. Guided tours will also be provided.
